Experience
La Bodega in Zürich
Although the history of the making of tapas has many different versions, almost everyone agrees that the tradition dates back to the time when alcoholic beverages were served with a wooden lid called “tapa” to cover the glass. To prevent the lids from falling off, they are weighed down with olives or other foods. Over time, they have been replaced by increasingly elaborate and original creations that have evolved from a simple appetizer to culinary art per se and a deeply rooted custom in bars across the Mediterranean. The development of tapas continued in La Bodega 77, where our chef uses an original kitchen philosophy to create specialties. The best thing about tapas is that you can have a snack or a feast, and the menu is flexible enough to suit everyone. Regional products such as cheese and smoked salmon are carefully selected and high-quality ingredients are sourced fresh from local markets. Of course, there is also a well-chosen wine list, with wines from the Mediterranean region, which make the perfect pairing with every dish. We bring a piece of the Mediterranean lifestyle directly to the Uster 77 shopping center in Zurich, Switzerland.
